This trend started in the year 2015 with the course titled “Introduction to Sociology” which was then offered by fresh students in all departments in Arts and Social Sciences. Prior to this however, the CBT has and is still being used in writing all General Studies Examinations. After sampling the opinions of some students on campus, this is what they have to say on whether Computer Based Test should be extended to all levels: A student identified as Damola Olamide, a 200level stude

Image
The students of the Faculty of Education, FUOYE, have protested the payment of N5000 as Teaching Practice (sometimes shortened as T.P) fee. The Teaching Practice levy was announced in a lecture at Phase II on the 27th March, 2019 by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Prof. K. O. Ojokheta and the Teaching Practice coordinator, Dr. Phillip I. Ajewole. The Dean said the payment is necessary because the faculty does not currently have enough teachers who will serve as supervisors during the Teaching Practice programme. According to him, the shortage of staff will enable the faculty to employ hands from outside. Addressing the third year students who will be observing the Teaching Practice, he said “I have personally come to pass this information to you because it is a serious issue. You are all going to pay the sum of N5000 to participate in the Teaching Practice. We focus on how diseases have shaped humans and how humans have shaped disease over time." The screenshot of the slide was sent to Dylan Griswold, a medical student at Stanford University, who tweeted it out:The professor who allegedly showed the slide reportedly emailed the class an explanation: "Most of you probably realize that my point was to show that mammals are especially prone to invasive cancers because mammals evolved invasive placentation. 15,000 out of 17,000 students owe school fees – Ekiti VC

Image
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, said on Sunday that only 2,000 out of a population of 17,000 students had paid their school fees for the 2018/2019 session. Soremekun lamented that the students’ failure to pay their school fees had negatively impacted on the university’s desire to meet many of the needs and demands of the school for more effective and enhanced academic and administrative activities. The vice-chancellor said at Oye Ekiti in a chat with journalists that the fact that many of the students had diverted such fees had compelled the school management to devise a means by which parents could pay the fees directly instead of asking their children to pay. He said, “It is very appalling that students these days have been failing to pay school fees for reasons we cannot fathom. By the last check, about 15,000 of our students have not paid. This is over 90 per cent of the student population because we have over 17,000 students in the

The company managed to pinpoint a loader dubbed Trojan.BeamWinHTTP, which is also involved in downloading the previously-detected Electrum DoSMiner. The largest concentration of the bots is reportedly located in the Asia Pacific region, Brazil and Peru, with the botnet that is attacking the Electrum infrastructure constantly growing. In early April, Cointelegraph reported that the ongoing DoS attack on the Electrum network was allegedly launched by a malicious botnet of more than 140,000 machines, aiming to steal users’ BTC by referring them to fake versions of Electrum softw
