UEFA confirm that, despite being played next year, the Euros will still be called EURO 2020. UEFA statement: "UEFA urges National Associations and Leagues to explore all possible options to play all top domestic competitions giving access to UEFA club competitions to their natural conclusion. CONFIRMED: UEFA says qualification for next season’s Champions League & Europa League is on ‘sporting merit’ this season. Each top league/association will determine how that is interpreted. UEFA says, where possible, it would prefer “a different format” to finish a domestic season, rather than simply cancelling it. "However, UEFA stresses that the health of players, spectators and all those involved in football as well as the public at large must remain the primary concern at this time."

The former Chief Judge of Ekiti State and the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Ademola Ajakaye, has joined his ancestors. Oluyin died at the early hours of Friday , according to a palace source. Kwara govt confirms new cases of COVID-19

Kwara State Government has confirmed that it has recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in the State. The State Government on its Twitter page said the total number of COVID-19 cases is now 11. Recall that the NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 108 new cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 981. It said it recorded 78 cases in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 in Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Plateau State. Kwara government tweeted, ”As at 23 April 2020. Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed ”Total test done – 278, total confirmed cases – 11, no of active cases – 9 ”Discharged – 2, no of negative test – 187, no of pending test – 80, death -0.”
