How to balance academic and social life on campus’: FUOYE counselling group organises seminar
By Adekunle Agbetiloye The Counselling and Human Development Centre organized a seminar on the 24th of April, 2019 to educate students on how to effectively and productively balance their academic and social life. The seminar which was held in the New Pavilion at the faculty of Arts had in attendance distinguished guests and students of the university. The coordinator of the seminar Mr. Emeka Livinus started by explaining that the counselling centre is a home away from home and it was established to help students with problems they can’t handle individually. He explained further that to access the counselling centre students don’t need to book an appointment and that the centre has counselling experts who don’t joke with confidentiality.
