This is to remind or enlighten Postrenders more about the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (P-YES) which is structured as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative driven by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs (OSAPYSA). WHAT ARE THE AIMS OF THIS SCHEME? Fight and reduce unemployment among Nigerian youth by creating at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities. Build the capacity of the youth to enable them take charge of their own wellbeing and future by building their assets and realizing their potentials. Diversification policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Create wealth among the growing youth population. Fight the scourge of criminality and drug abuse among the youth by empowering them to be productively engaged. Contribute to GDP growth through the development of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs). REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICATION. The following is set as the basic pre-conditions for enlistment: Ability to communicate in Basic English language and or any local Nigerian language. Provable upright character and a stable mind. Ekiti mourns as First Class Monarch, Oluyin dies

The former Chief Judge of Ekiti State and the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Ademola Ajakaye, has joined his ancestors. Oluyin died at the early hours of Friday , according to a palace source. The late Oluyin, who was the first Chief Judge of the State in 1996 at its creation, was at a time the Administrator General, National Judicial Institute (NJI). The town has begun traditional rites since Friday, which includes relocation of market and cutting of trees in the town, denoting the passage of the PeluPelu Oba. Iyin, is the town of the former Governor of Ekiti State and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo and the Senator representing Ekiti Central at the Senate, Hon. Kwara govt confirms new cases of COVID-19

Kwara State Government has confirmed that it has recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in the State. The State Government on its Twitter page said the total number of COVID-19 cases is now 11. Recall that the NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 108 new cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 981. It said it recorded 78 cases in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 in Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Plateau State. Kwara government tweeted, ”As at 23 April 2020. Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed ”Total test done – 278, total confirmed cases – 11, no of active cases – 9 ”Discharged – 2, no of negative test – 187, no of pending test – 80, death -0.”
