Fuoye To Organise PTA Meeting (PLA)

I heard this news this morning and it sounded funny until we realised the Pta(PLA - Parent Lecturer Association) meeting had a genuine reason. It has to do with the last occurrence that led to the death of two students, Joseph Icon and Dada Kenny. May their gentle souls rest in perfect peace.
These deaths will never be forgotten.
The Management of the Federal University Oye Ekiti has therefore decided to have a meeting with the parents , to discuss this issue.
The meeting is to hold on the 1st of October 2019

Some parents have received this mesage, while many are yet to.

Kwara govt confirms new cases of COVID-19

Kwara State Government has confirmed that it has recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in the State. The State Government on its Twitter page said the total number of COVID-19 cases is now 11. Recall that the NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 108 new cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 981. It said it recorded 78 cases in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 in Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Plateau State. Kwara government tweeted, ”As at 23 April 2020. Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed ”Total test done – 278, total confirmed cases – 11, no of active cases – 9 ”Discharged – 2, no of negative test – 187, no of pending test – 80, death -0.”
