History
We have met Arsenal once before in European competition when we famously defeated them 3-2 on aggregate in the Champions League quarter-finals in 2004. We have won one and lost one of our meetings in the Premier League this season.
Last season we played at the Olympic Stadium in Baku against Azerbaijani side Qarabag, winning 4-0. Arsenal played there earlier in their Europa League campaign this term.
The route to Baku
After qualifying comfortably from a group containing PAOK, Vidi and BATE Borisov, the Blues have beaten Malmo, Dynamo Kiev, Slavia Prague and Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the final for the second time in our history.
Arsenal meanwhile topped a group containing Sporting Lisbon, Vorskla Poltava and Qarabag. They have since knocked out BATE Borisov and Rennes - both times having lost the first leg away - and then Napoli and Valencia in the quarters and semis.
