Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata savaged after brutal triple miss against Arsenal

Arsenal’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Chelsea was one of the games of the season – but not everyone left the Emirates satisfied with their night’s work.
Alvaro Morata had one of those nights where nothing goes right, spurning three brilliant chances that had fans wondering if Roman Abramovich really spent £58m bringing the him to Stamford Bridge.
Early on, Morata had the perfect chance to steady his nerves when played clean through. He steadied himself, took aim… and pushed the ball wide of the far post.But he wasn’t done there. After the break, he fired wide when again one-on-one against Petr Cech – a miss that had manager Antonio Conte tearing out what remains of his hair.
And in stoppage time, Morata completed his hat-trick when he fired straight at Cech.
It was a miserable night – made worse for the fact ex-Chelsea man Diego Costa scored on his Atletico Madrid debut. Twitter was as unsympathetic as ever.

Ekiti mourns as First Class Monarch, Oluyin dies

The former Chief Judge of Ekiti State and the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Ademola Ajakaye, has joined his ancestors. Oluyin died at the early hours of Friday , according to a palace source. The late Oluyin, who was the first Chief Judge of the State in 1996 at its creation, was at a time the Administrator General, National Judicial Institute (NJI). The town has begun traditional rites since Friday, which includes relocation of market and cutting of trees in the town, denoting the passage of the PeluPelu Oba. Iyin, is the town of the former Governor of Ekiti State and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo and the Senator representing Ekiti Central at the Senate, Hon. Kwara govt confirms new cases of COVID-19

Kwara State Government has confirmed that it has recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in the State. The State Government on its Twitter page said the total number of COVID-19 cases is now 11. Recall that the NCDC, on Thursday confirmed 108 new cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number in the country to 981. It said it recorded 78 cases in Lagos, 14 in FCT, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 in Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Plateau State. Kwara government tweeted, ”As at 23 April 2020. Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed ”Total test done – 278, total confirmed cases – 11, no of active cases – 9 ”Discharged – 2, no of negative test – 187, no of pending test – 80, death -0.”
